The story of SAVANA
2020
In March 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, Romain and Jean-Xia, two friends who share a passion for board games, decided to create SAVANA , a French studio for the creation and publishing of board games. Their ambition is to offer accessible party games, focused on the pleasure of playing together.
2023
After 3 years of developing prototypes, tests, defining the editorial line and first games released confidentially, SAVANA is getting to know itself better and better.
On September 29, 2023, Traitors Aboard , a hidden role party game with a pirate theme, was released. The game quickly achieved great public and critical acclaim, becoming the studio's flagship title.
2025
SAVANA is diversifying its productions with new games: Lacuna , an accessible strategy game, and Emblems , a game blending strategy and bluffing. These releases confirm the studio's commitment to exploring different game styles while remaining accessible to a wide audience. The team is growing, and SAVANA Games is establishing itself as an internationally recognized publisher.
